SUMMARY:
The development of the German aesthetic ageing medicine started over the years during the ‚Weimarer Republik’. Out of its now 80 years of history two periods the phase in the late twenties and the present are studied to verify that its concern is not restricted to the typical main medical topics, contributed to the varied modalities to treat the ageing
body. In this article the critical point of view of culture of this medical field is reviewed to point out its worried practice about the ageing body integrated into the economistic way of life.
