SUMMARY:
The increased necessity to improve cost-effectivness in medicine means in the short or long term to resort to simpler and conserving treatment mehods such as mesotherapy. Therby the “old” aesculapian virtues of direct personal contact, touching, examinig and treatment of the skin come to the fore. The increasing interest in mesotherapy in the field of medical aesthetics is based upon it’s excellent efficacy regarding the skin itself and its adnexa (mesotherapy against hair loss). After a set-up phase of 3 repeating sessions every 2-3 weeks, a sustaining therapy is due every 3-6 months. The attained results can thus be retained in the long-term.
