SUMMARY:
In two clinical models the effect of a twice daily applied skin cream containing antioxidative and biologically skin active cosmetic ingredients were documented. In both study parts the duration use was 25-35 days, with an interim assessment after 12-16 days. In the first part of the study the effects of the cream on skin dryness and skin redness were clinically documented in 50 patients (88% female) with an allergic diathesis. Both parameters improved in a highly significant manner, paralleled with excellent tolerance and no side effects. In the second part of the study the effect of skin hydration and skin elasticity was objectified in 20 female patients by means of physical measuring procedures. Improvement of both parameters was highly significant, thus imperssively confirming medical observations. Local tolerance was found totally without problems in all 70 patients. Local irritation or other undesired effects did not occur. The combination of active ingredients including vitamin E, coenzyme Q, biotin, bisabolol, panthenol and hyaluronic acid with jojoba oil in a W/O emulsion cream can thus have a positive impact on the pathophysiological processes of skin aging in the sense of an “anti-aging” preparation.
